History
The Department of Commerce was established in the year 2001. To meet the growing demand, additional sections were introduced in 2007. The PG stream was started in the year 2011 and M.Phil in 2017. The Department is expanding its wings into research where Ph.D. courses are to be offered from the ensuing year.

The Department organizes various Seminar and Guest Lectures for promoting research. The members of the department participate in various conferences and publish articles in journals on a regular basis. The students are exposed to the industry through industrial visits and study tours.
