B.S.W. Social Work
History
The department took its first step in the year 2010 with four faculty through its post graduate programme in social work in two specialized fields of Human Resource Management, Medical & Psychiatric Social Work. The department launched the BSW programme in the year 2015. In 2018 M.Phil, research Programme was introduced and Community Development as a specialization was included.
Vision
- To be a centre of excellence in social work training and be responsive to social concerns through application of knowledge in creating and sustaining social justice in the society.
Mission
- To strengthen social work trainees with psycho-social and professional competencies To be involved with integrity in proactive partnerships to empower individuals, groups, and communities.
