History

The Department of Mathematics, established in the year 2015 started B.Sc. Mathematics as its first academic programme with the sanctioned strength of 55 students. It has a responsibility in encouraging the students to understand the various nuances in Mathematics. The department not only nurtures the talent and skills in the subjects offered in the curriculum but also focuses on the subjects that help them to choose a career. The department motivates the students to prepare for competitive examinations and register for online courses. Further, the students are encouraged to participate in paper presentation, NBHM training programme, intercollegiate competition held at various colleges, and Invited /Guest lectures given at various colleges.

Vision

Our vision is to provide exhaustive knowledge in all areas of Mathematical Sciences and to apply their principles through their career-oriented pursuits.

Mission

Our mission is to provide a strong mathematical background to graduates and to foster a positive attitude to meet the challenges of the competitive world.
